Community Forums

In early 2012, we'll be running a series of 2-hour community forums about young people and alcohol around Victoria.

The seminars will be presented by the Australian Drug Foundation and the Barwon Adolescent Taskforce (BATForce) and will include information about:

  • Alcohol related harms in young people
  • The new secondary supply legislation
  • Parenting strategies to prevent alcohol misuse in young people.

Each session focuses strongly on the skills and strategies that parents and other adults need to keep communication with young people open, and deal with issues in a positive and constructive way.

The sessions will be held in:

  • Goulburn Valley - 7pm to 9pm, 22 May (Wanganui Park Secondary College)
  • Murray region - 7pm to 9pm, 23 May (Swan Hill College)
  • South west region - 7pm to 9pm, 6 June (Portland Library)
